California Church of God of Prophecy is a small church in the heart of California, Missouri where you are absolutely welcome. We believe in loving, serving and giving. We're a small part of a global church with core values of prayer, the harvest, leadership development, Biblical stewardship and service.

The Church of God of Prophecy has its roots in the Church of God movement, which began in Cherokee County, North Carolina in 1886. In 1903, a young pastor from Indiana named A.J. Tomlinson led the group to more formal organization as the Church of God, and in 1904, the headquarters moved to Cleveland, Tennessee. Tomlinson was elected general overseer in 1909, but disagreements over finances and governance led to a split in 1923. Tomlinson and some congregations formed the Church of God of Prophecy, which continues to thrive to this day.

The Church of God of Prophecy has over 1.5 million members, worshiping in over 10,000 churches or missions in 135 nations of the world. Nearly 90% of our global membership is outside of North America.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
